Rice CS Club - providing students with mentors, networking events, professional resources and more. Has 4 mission focused subsidiaries: Rice Apps, HackRice, CS I/O, and RemixCS (local CS training for K-12).

RiceApps - building web apps for social good, empowering students and community partners through creating custom tailored products

CSters (Women in CS) - open to all individuals interested in computing, specifically supporting female enrollment in CS at Rice

Rice Business Society - connecting and uniting Rice undergraduate business students

Rice Data Science Club - Data science club for undergraduates - organizes events like Hack Nights and Datathons

Women In STEM - undergraduate organization empowering female students in STEM. Talk to female leaders and faculty during lunch meetings and participate in outreach events for younger students

Jones Graduate School Entrepreneurs Association - Providing networking, education and mentorship to alumni and student entrepreneurs

Accelerators and Incubators

Rice Ventures - Student-run startup accelerator. Over the course of the semester-long program, we help recruit team members to ventures and bring in speakers to teach each stage of building a business in the real world. Apply by September 4.

OwlSpark - immersive 12-week summer program that provides teams with firsthand experience launching a tech startup

Hackathons and Competitions

HackRice - Rice's largest hackathon that takes place in September each year. Participants in teams of up to 4 collaborate on a software or hardware project and showcase them after 36 hours.

Rice Business Plan Competition - Largest graduate-student startup competition - teams from around the world compete for more than $1.5 million in prizes

Napier Rice Launch Challenge - Rice's newest entrepreneurship competition, awarding over $60,000 in prize money to Rice-affiliated team

Veterans Business Battle - the largest veteran-focused business competition in the country

Rice Datathon - annual datathon hosted by Rice DataScience Club and the Rice Data to Knowledge Lab. Students have 24 hours to work (in teams or individually) to design and implement data science related projects and win prizes.

Liu Idea Lab for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (LILIE) - A flexible, modern learning and workspace, the Liu Idea Lab is Rice's new on-campus hub for innovation and entrepreneurship
